Describe your current job responsibilities….
My position allows me the privilege to assist clients in planning trips from weekend getaways to dream vacations months in the making. The responsibility that I have for all of my clients is to provide the same end-to-end customer service to everyone regardless of the cost or duration of their trip.

Why did you choose to get into the Travel business?
My original plan to become a flight attendant changed when I met my husband. I didn’t want him to be alone for most of the week while I was working so I chose to pursue a different career. My three internships in college were all for event planning and coordination so it seemed natural to take my love of travel and combine it with my experience in organizing and planning.

What year did you start in the travel industry?
I started in the travel industry in 2006 when I enrolled at Adelman Travel Academy. After receiving my certification I accepted a position with the Mark Travel Corporation as a Destination Implementation Specialist. After 9 months in my position with Mark Travel I transferred and I am currently a travel specialist.

What is the best vacation you have ever been on why?
My favorite vacation was a 7 Day Western Caribbean cruise. My parents, sister, fiancée, and a friend left on Christmas Eve and we returned on New Years Eve. I love spending time with my family and this was the first big vacation that we had ever taken together. The ship was decorated for the holidays and we came back to the cold weather with a great tan!

If you could plan your dream vacation what and where would it be?
I love San Juan, Puerto Rico; the ocean there has the most beautiful greens and blues and I have been dying to return. My dream vacation would start will 2 nights in Old San Juan near the fort in a room with an ocean view. While in Puerto Rico I would drive to El Yunque to see the rainforest and swim under the fresh water waterfall. The evening would be spent on a glass bottom boat at La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay in Lajas. The stars are beautiful and the creatures in the water light up as the boat passes by. After my short stay in Puerto Rico I would leave on a southern exotic cruise that would return to San Juan so I could experience more of the islands of the Caribbean.

What is your travel specialty?  Why should I contact you to book my vacation?
I have been to Disney World three times and to Mexico four times, and Jamaica 3 times. I love the sunny destinations! I have toured all of the Sandals and beaches properties in Jamaica. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation to remember I can arrange it all.

If you weren’t a Vacation Specialist at LaMacchia Travel, what else would you be doing?
If I hadn’t pursued a career in travel I would be an event coordinator. I find that I am able to pay close attention to detail, work well under deadlines, and resolve problems as they arise.
