Depart the US for the Czech Republic on your overnight flight.

Arrive in Prague on December 1st where you will transfer by bus to your hotel for the next two nights. The day is yours to enjoy! This fascinating city straddles the Vltava River with domes, cupolas, spires, and pinnacles highlighting its skyline. Explore Prague and its surrounding countryside. Sample delicious plum dumplings and traditional Pilsner beer beside the Vltava River. Join us back at the hotel for a Group Exclusive Dinner this evening. (Prague Marriott or similar)

Start your day out with breakfast at the hotel and then take a Guided City Walk to visit Hradcany Castle Grounds; see St. Vitus Cathedral, and Old Town’s Astronomical Clock. Spend the afternoon on your own browsing the exquisite Christmas Markets of Prague. Stroll through the brightly colored wooden stalls for ornaments and handmade toys and handicrafts. (Prague Marriott or similar) (Breakfast)

Have breakfast at the hotel in Vienna and indulge in traditional holiday fare and hot libations to warm your heart and soul before your transfer to Nuremberg where you will board your Avalon Suite Ship. Overnight docking in Nuremberg. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Rise and shine and choose from two guided excursions to get acquainted with Nuremburg! Choose from a Guided Tour of Nuremberg’s medieval architecture, gilded fountain, Gothic cathedral, and Kaiserburg Castle OR Join a Guided Tour of the historic Nuremberg Rally Grounds—used by the Third Reich. After that you will have free time to browse the spruce stalls of the Christmas Markets of Nuremberg. Sample favorite Bavarian fare—from dozens of bratwurst varieties, gingerbread, mulled wine, and countless other culinary delights of the Christkindlmarkt. Enjoy live entertainment as you sail to Regensburg. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

See the magic of Bavaria in Regensburg with a Guided City Walk and see Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) and Porta Pretoria—entrance to the Castra Regina fortress built in 179 AD. Take time to browse Regensburg’s sparkling Christmas markets. Enjoy hot-mulled wine, candied almonds, gingerbread, or bratwurst. Next enjoy a Christmas Traditions lecture onboard and sail the evening and overnight to Passau. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Have breakfast and start your day out with a Guided City Walk to learn more about this beautiful “City of Three Rivers” – Passau. Spend free time in Passau’s charming Christkindlmarkt near magnificent St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Later choose to take an Optional Excursion to Salzburg, Austria. See the setting of The Sound of Music, and learn the story behind the beloved Christmas hymn, Silent Night. (not included in package costs)

There will be a short evening cruise to Linz with live entertainment onboard. Overnight Cruise to Melk. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Experience the Wauchau Valley and choose from a Guided Tour of Melk’s magnificent Benedictine Abbey to marvel at its frescoed ceilings OR indulge in Austrian Cookie Tasting onboard the ship while sailing through the splendid Wachau Valley to Vienna. Arrive in the winter wonderland of Vienna! You will have the option to attend an Optional Excursion to a Royal Waltz Concert for an unforgettable evening of music in an elegant hall. Explore the Habsburg empire on a Guided City Tour of Vienna’s gilded landmarks. See the Imperial Palace complex—the winter residence of the Imperial Family, the iconic Vienna Opera House, and stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Spend free time on your own to enjoy the Christkindlesmarkt or relax by the fire’s glow in a Viennese café. You may join a Guided Optional Tour of Schönbrunn Palace—summer home of the Habsburg dynasty for 300 years. (not included in package costs). Overnight docking in Vienna. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Your adventure in the Christmas Markets of Europe comes to an end with breakfast. Transfer to the Vienna airport and travel home.

Cancellation Policy: Airfare

  • From date of deposit until August 13, 2025 – $250.00 per person plus applicable airline fees
  • From August 14 – October 15, 2025 – 50% of package cost per person penalty plus applicable airline fees
  • From October 16, 2025, to day of departure – 100% penalty for tour & air

In addition to the vendor penalties stated above, LaMacchia charges a $200 per person cancellation fee.
